TO MY LOVE

Happy anniversary, to my love, sweet love,
Today is the day we think of our years
And the times we've shared,
You've helped me see things through
When I've felt sad,
You show me you care.
You've given me gifts that now
Else could,
I feel I haven't given half of what
I should.
You make things seem simple as can be,
But through my ways,
I wish I could see.
I want to describe the feeling you
Make me feel,
My desires yearn,
And you make it feel so real.
The soft touch of your lips gently
Against mine,
Makes me have a sweet feeling
Like the sweet taste of wine.
I've done you wrong a time or two,
But you stuck with me,
As we see our problems through.
Happy anniversary to my love,
Sweet love,
To my best friend and to my lover,
It's been wonderful so far,
And yet we still have our lives left to discover.
