This climbing rose was not doing too well in the alkaline soil. Railroad spikes stuck into the dirt gave it more minerals, and rocks placed around the top kept the moisture high and allowed it to begin to grow.

From inside the lattice work.

These blossoms are very delicate and do not last very long when cut for vases.
