The spacer is an invisible gif inside this square, called "dot.gif" It can be any size, just change the dimensions in the image tag. You don't have to have more than one spacer on a page. The same image will fill most any space to keep objects and table cells where you want them. There is a spacer on this page over the left border of the background to keep tables from shifting onto it. Below are some sample spacer tags using the same image. The actual size of the spacer used on this page is 7x3. In the border, it has been sized to 100x3. Using the border="0" is very important in this tag. The same technique can be used with many other images as long as the image does not have too many colors. Doing this to photos will distort them badly.

Dot   To Save This Page
Make a new folder. Name it HTML (or whatever you want). Create a new folder inside the HTML folder. Name it images.

Dot   To Save Background
Place your cursor anywhere on the page to save the background as it looks here, right click, click on Save Background As. Place the file in the images folder.

Dot   To Save Bullets, Bars and Buttons
Place your cursor over the image of your choice, right click, click on Save Image As. Place your image files in the images folder. Please don't forget to download the invisible gif that is used as a spacer.

Dot   To Save HTML Source
Place your cursor over the page, right click, click on View Source. A window will open showing the raw HTML used to create this page. Save this file in your HTML folder, not in the images folder.
