STRAIGHT ROAD
(© Marion Stewart - 11/12/96)

Down the road there is no detour.
I must keep looking straight ahead.
So many pretty things to see,
but old Satan's got so many detour signs
for me to look at.
I must not turn.
I've got a hill to climb.
Jesus said I've got a Heavenly Home,
if only I trust in Him.
So, for Him,
I will not turn off from that narrow path.
I am too near to the end now,
but sometimes I get so weak.
I would like to go on,
but when I look around,
so many pretty things to see.
I get so happy.
I pray to the Lord
and He gives me strength to go on.
I praise Him with all my heart
for leading me and showing me the way
to go Home.
