STAND BY ME

As I sit here
in this empty house,
I can hear voices,
but when I look around,
no one to see, but, Lord, stand by me.
Oh, Lord, I talk to You
all the time.
I know You are standing by me.
Lord, I watch out my window
for to see if anyone
comes up the road all day long.
I watch but there is nobody
to come and see about me.
So, Lord, You stand by me.
Soon, this life will be over.
So, Lord, I hope
that You will still
watch over this old house.
It has been a blessing to me.
Lord, You bless me
and give me strength.
So, I pray that You stand by me.
So, Lord, I have
no one to call on,
but You.
So, Lord, stand by me.
Lord, You said,
whosoever call on You
shall be saved.
So, Lord, I am calling on You,
now.
