I was honored with this gift on July 17, 2000 because:
"This small token is my only way of saying thank you to all
of you who have been so kind over the last few months.
Millennium Design will continue to flourish and grow thanks to
all of your wonderful support. As with the simple butterfly you
too have made it easy to journey from one end of the globe to the
other and recognize true beauty and talent. It is all of you that
will forever be in my heart and mind as my days get tough.
Please accept this little logo as thanks and nothing more. No links
are needed or required and it is your choice as to whether you display
this image or not.
Let me try to explain the meaning behind it all for you so that
you may better understand why my awards are designed the way they
are and why this image is designed for you.
The Millennium Award contains simple design efforts with real meaning
behind the look. The Globe in the hand of all of the awards signifies
the closeness that the world network has made it for all of us.
The simple square around each award represents the four corners
of the globe, and the thought that the awards recipient has made
an international mark.
Each of you have helped make this world of ours a greater place
and mine certainly. The above image goes one step further than any
awards recipient will ever have. By enclosing the hand held globe
within a crystal sphere, you have obtained what no others can apply
for. You have the world within your grasp and have claimed it as
your own. Consider it as your crystal ball for the future and hold
it close to your heart as I hold each of you. Remember always though
that each of us also has the spirit of the butterfly to move freely
throughout this universe of ours.
Love you All
Bob"
Sometimes you get something and it just leaves you unable to find
words to express the depth of what receiving it did to your heart
and soul. The graphic, the mail, the man behind them, it all combined
to create one of those rare beautiful moments for me. Thank you.
I don't know how to say it better. I wish I could.
